Fitting Guide

CuvaShields are supplied flat and are designed to be shaped by hand to suit the profile of your roman blind headrail before fitting.

 

1. Clean the surfaces to be bonded

Use the supplied alcohol wipe to clean the surfaces of both the roman blind end caps and the CuvaShields and allow to dry fully. This removes any impurities that could prevent the adhesive tape from properly bonding.

 

2. Apply the adhesive tape

While the CuvaShields are still flat, peel away the protective backing from one side of the tape and apply to the appropriate cleaned surface. Leave the second protective backing in place and press down the tape firmly to create a good bond.

 

3. Bend the rear tabs

Using pliers, a vice or other suitable tool, grip the rear tab and gently bend it to 90°. Take care not to damage the finish while gripping the tabs.

 

4. Fit the CuvaShield

Remove the remaining protective backin from the adhesive tape, carefully position the CuvaShield over the end cap, and press firmly into place.
